Staff members from The Oncology Service (@theoncologyserviceva) will be joining us at FETCH Fest again this year as they help spread awareness about pet cancer and the treatment they can provide. While fighting cancer, they've been busy raising money for FETCH Fest through their TOS fundraising team and have already raised $800 to support our Companions in Crisis and Pixie's Pen Pals programs!

They're committed to helping families feel supported through the pet cancer journey, which is why they also sponsor our monthly Pet Cancer Support Group. If you or someone you know has had a pet diagnosed with cancer, we encourage you to join tonight and every third Thursday of the month. Visit the link in our bio to learn more.

On the third Tuesday of the month, from 5:30-6:30 EST, Dr. Melissa Miller will be leading our Pet Loss Support Group at the FETCH a Cure office.

Dr. Miller serves on FETCH a Cure's Medical Advisory Board and practices medical oncology at Partner Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center. She is deeply committed to ongoing cancer research as well as continuing education for veterinarians and their teams. Her clinical interests are heavily weighted in the treatment of lymphoid and histiocytic diseases, precision medicine, alternative medicine studies, and immunomodulating therapy. She is also a certified pet grief support specialist and is currently pursuing additional training in veterinary aromatherapy and herbal medicine.

When she’s not fighting cancer, Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with family, cooking with her fiancée Nick and entertaining their energetic rat terrier, Lucky Liam. She is also an avid houseplant gardener and essential oil enthusiast.

Baseball + dogs = your Sunday plans!

Each season, the Norfolk Tides (@norfolktides) host several Bark in the Park events so fans will have the opportunity to enjoy a game with their four-legged friends, with all proceeds from dog tickets donated to a local dog charity.

FETCH a Cure is the chosen charity for the first Bark in the Park game of the season on Sunday, April 14 at 1:05pm. Dr. Lauren Barrow (pictured here) of Hampton Roads Veterinary Hospice & Integrative Medicine (@hrvethospice) will also be at the game from 2pm-4pm providing free lump and bump exams at the FETCH table, located on the third base side of the concourse.

Tickets for humans are $16 if purchased in advance and $19 if purchased the day of the game. Dog tickets are $5 per dog, which is donated to FETCH, and are available either online (link in bio) or at the Harbor Park Box Office.
