Supper is served! This Thursday, April 25th, we're

Supper is served! This Thursday, April 25th, we're partnering with Oak & Apple BBQ, where 10% of dinner sales will go towards our programs, providing financial and emotional support for families whose pets have cancer.

Since introducing our Supper Club community outreach initiative, we've received a total of $3,443 in donations from our incredible restaurant partners. To put it in perspective, that amount covered the grants for cancer survivors Darla, Lucky, and Smooch!

"On behalf of FETCH a Cure, we are pleased to be able to offer Chesney assistance with her cancer treatment. We have awarded you a total of $6700 to assist with her treatment."

Those words were delivered to Chesney's owner yesterday, and her feeling of relief was instant. She now has hope that Chesney's quality of life will improve with stereotactic radiation. Her neck pain will subside as the radiation shrinks the peripheral nerve sheath tumor. She'll begin to feel like herself again.

The reality of the work we do is that we can only say yes to families like Chesney's through the financial support of our community. Just this year, we've awarded over $53,000 in grants through our Companions in Crisis program.

We need all the help we can get to overcome the financial barriers that many families face when trying to afford veterinary care for their beloved pets. By creating a FETCH Fest fundraising page, you can show these families they are not alone.

Our newest Companions in Crisis recipient is clear

Our newest Companions in Crisis recipient is clearly a pretty big deal, seeing that he's running for president and all! His name is Larry and he's from Frederick, Maryland. Larry started his life as a feral cat and had a hard time getting adopted because he had FIV.

Fortunately, his family saw him in the rescue's Facebook videos at one of his foster homes, and they instantly fell in love. While his presidential campaign has been on hold since his osteosarcoma diagnosis, his family is optimistic about his treatment at @veterinaryradiationoncology. His mom wrote, "We need to have him well to allow us to keep loving and spoiling him for as long as possible and to continue being the write in presidential candidate!"

FETCH volunteers met up with Dr. Pamela White from The Oncology Service Leesburg at the Anything’s PAWSible 5K and Festival yesterday in Manassas to educate attendees on early detection of pet cancer.

Through community outreach by way of events, FETCH a Cure is working to promote the need to help pets live long, healthy lives!
